What We're Learning

 

Reading Focus:

Learning about authors' intentions this week.  Because authors have intentions, it is our job to PAY ATTENTION when we are reading.  Thinking about author's craft, how books "click together" and the way authors often want to teach us something important.

 

Writing Focus:

"Small moment" PERSONAL NARRATIVES - generating ideas, stretching out small moments across pages by sequencing events(telling story across your fingers), writing with detail. We are especially working on mighty middles and excellent endings.
